Chronic Fatigue Syndrome [ME]
Case Studies

AB was a pre-existing sufferer of M.E. who, prior to an accident was able to pace herself to enable her to carry out regular contracts of employment albeit with breaks in between contracts as and when necessary to fit in with her symptoms. She was able to enjoy a relatively active lifestyle and travelled frequently.

Sadly, following a road traffic accident she went on to develop Fibromyalgia along with other injuries. This resulted in her experiencing new and worsening symptoms to the extent that she became unable to continue to work and carry out many of her pre-accident activities.

Numerous experts reports were obtained for the purpose of her case and although the Defendant vehemently denied responsibility for her much worsened health we settled her case prior to the final court hearing for her for £100,000.

MC was a pre-existing sufferer of M.E. who, prior to a road traffic accident had made a 90% recovery from her symptoms. She was able to enjoy a relatively active lifestyle looking after her children and carrying out various strenuous activities.

Following the accident however, she sadly suffered a severe relapse of her symptoms. This rendered her unable to look after her children or carry out her pre-accident hobbies such as rock n roll dancing etc.

Settlement could not be reached between the parties and she subsequently had her case heard by a judge who recognised the link between the accident and her worsened health and who awarded her £115,990.
