Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (ME)
We act for M.E./Chronic Fatigue Syndrome clients all over England and Wales from our Manchester base.
WHAT IS M.E.?
M.E., or Chronic Fatigue Syndrome as it is often called, is a chronic condition in which sufferers endure a host of symptoms including profound and overwhelming fatigue, muscle pain and mental fogginess with problems concentrating. Unlike many other conditions, M.E. does not improve significantly with rest.
WHAT CAN CAUSE M.E.?
No-one knows exactly what causes M.E./Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, but there are several theories including contraction of viral infections, sleep disturbances, physical and emotional trauma and brain abnormalities.
HOW CAN WE HELP?
If you suspect your M.E. has been triggered or worsened as a result of an accident which was not your fault we can act for you in your claim against the party who injured you. In addition, if you have the benefit of an ill health retirement pension or an insurance policy with critical illness cover (often referred to as total permanent disablement entitlement) then we can also assist with those claims. To contact us click here.
FUNDING
There are several methods of funding a claim available. These are:-
- Private funding where you pay your own legal bills
- Conditional fee agreements (No win no fee)
- Legal expenses insurance (which you may have attached to a home and contents, motor or other insurance policy)
Often your legal expenses insurer will send you to one of their panel firms but you may be able to instruct us instead. For further details about funding please click here.
